Senior Vice President, Director of Family Office Investments

Brad is the director of family office investments for Commerce Trust, specializing in the management of investment portfolios for high-net-worth private clients and private foundations.

Upon gaining a thorough understanding of a client’s needs and goals as well as assessing the client’s entire financial situation, he works with our investment research team to construct a portfolio to help clients achieve their long-term goals. Brad comprehensively represents our research-and goals-based investment process, starting with the initial assessment and reaction of an investment objective to ongoing evaluation and adjustments based on changing market and life circumstances. With a deep knowledge of the market and experience in investment management, Brad serves clients with thought leadership, insight, and consulting services. 

Prior to joining Commerce in 2004, Brad was a portfolio manager for high-net-worth individuals and foundations with Harris Trust in Chicago and was an analyst for Goldman Sachs, Inc., in its asset management division. Brad has more than 26 years of experience in investment management. 

He received his bachelor of science degree from University of Wisconsin, has obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, and is also a graduate of the Commerce Leadership Development Program. Brad is a member of the Financial Planning Association™, The Financial Planning Institute™, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri, Junior Achievement, St. Louis Area Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, and Kidsmart.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board) owns the certification marks CFP® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ in the United States, which it authorizes use of by individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
