Steve Bredbenner, CFP^®, AWMA^®

Vice President, Portfolio Manager

Steve is a portfolio manager for Commerce Trust. Upon gaining a thorough understanding of a client’s needs and goals as well as assessing the client’s entire financial situation, he works with our investment research team to construct a portfolio to help clients achieve their long-term goals.

Steve comprehensively represents our research- and goals-based investment process, starting with the initial assessment and creation of an investment objective to ongoing evaluation and adjustments based on changing market and life circumstances. With a deep knowledge of the market and experience in investment management, he serves clients with thought leadership, insight, and consulting services.

He joined Commerce in 2008 as a financial analyst in the commercial lending training program. In 2009, Steve made the transition to The Commerce Trust as a financial planning analyst. In this role, he was a part of a team whose responsibilities included providing comprehensive and objective financial advice for clients and prospects.

Steve received his Bachelor of Science degree in personal financial planning from the University of Missouri and his Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University. In addition, Steve has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Accredited Wealth Management Advisor™ designations. He is a current member of the St. Louis Chapter of the Financial Planning Association.

The Chartered Financial Analyst^® (CFA^®) Charter is a designation granted by CFA Institute to individuals who have satisfied certain requirements, including completion of the CFA Program and required years of acceptable work experience. Registered marks are the property of CFA Institute.
